And, she's back!

Wow, it's been awhile. I feel bloggy again, so here I am, back in the saddle. My beautiful baby is four and a half months old. It's been a roller coaster ride and I finally feel more settled with caring for her. I have not blogged anything since she was born, so will start from the beginning and make a 'long story short'. Or not. It's my blog anyways.

My Lele was born via Cesarean Section at 8:28am on 9.9.09. The ninth hour of the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year. Sheesh! That's gotta mean something, right? I was two weeks late, and induced due to low amniotic fluid levels. The induction failed and to summarize 48 hours of my life, I had to face my worst fears. But I did it of course, and could not have been happier to finally meet my gorgeous baby girl.

The most amazing moment of my life was when they put her in my arms in the recovery room, and she immediately recognized my voice. She was crying and I started talking to her and she calmed down right away. My mother and father were in town from NY for the birth and I think the experience was transcendent for my mother.

Sweetpea was fantastic, since I was incapacitated initially he took over right away and did all the baby care.
What a daddy.
The first three weeks were tough because I was in pain and had an infection. So I had multiple dr. appts, and the baby did too, because she had a tiny heart murmur. After three weeks, I felt better but baby got super fussy. that was tough too, I never could get out with her, since she needed a lot of comforting and was just generally uncomfortable. We finally figured out that she had reflux, aka heartburn and started treating her for it. She got a lot less fussy at about 8 weeks. Now she is just an angel. Here are some pics:
